After one after another scandals and punches being given by Wikileaks, Julian Assange, founder of this infamous internet site is making a way for his stardom along with the release of videos showing U.S soldiers accidentally killing civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan; cables from soldiers in the field, deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan; and most recently a host of prisoner records from Guantánamo Bay. So, Julian is on a way to air his thoughts on technology as he is reaching spotlight and he accuses US for various conspiracies.

In an interview with Russia Today, Russia’s first all-digital TV network, he claimed that they only released some secret, classified and confidential matter however the most embarrassing and really serious stuff wasn’t in their collection. And he also mentions that they don’t have any kind of secret channels.

Similarly, he is in a move to accuse Facebook somehow indirectly working as US agency as it helps to provide database of people with their secret information, location and even their activities.

However he states :

Facebook in particular is the most appalling spying machine that has ever been invented. Here we have the world’s most comprehensive database about people, their relationships, their names, their addresses, their locations and the communications with each other, their relatives, all sitting within the United States, all accessible to US intelligence. Facebook, Google, Yahoo – all these major US organizations have built-in interfaces for US intelligence. It’s not a matter of serving a subpoena. They have an interface that they have developed for US intelligence to use.

Now, is it the case that Facebook is actually run by US intelligence? No, it’s not like that. It’s simply that US intelligence is able to bring to bear legal and political pressure on them. And it’s costly for them to hand out records one by one, so they have automated the process. Everyone should understand that when they add their friends to Facebook, they are doing free work for United States intelligence agencies in building this database for them.
