World’s number one internet social site has said that it is coming up with a new feature that will make user and members feel with the same feature like of Twitter which alerts members in real time to what their friends are up to on the social network. The feature that has come recently is named as “Happening Now,” and this feature is being tried in the few fraction of percentage among the world wide more than 600 million members, according to the king roled network company.
Facebook California company said in an email reply to an AFP inquiry that they were recently testing the feature in only news feed which will help people to see what the friends are doing either commenting or liking or any other action that are being taken in Facebook.
The company also added in a statement that they will make more improvement and reforms in the coming weeks if the test went all right. They are also going to expand it to more people after this test. This kind of feature by Facebook may be a kind of challenge to its micro blogging service competitors like Twitter.
Twitter has also launched its own its own URL shorterner that will lead people share what they are thinking, doing, or seeing instantly in messages of 140 or fewer characters. The new Facebook feature for now apparently alerts people to what friends are doing at the social network.
