
Playbook lovers, just hold on your seat as there’s a very exciting update for you all. RIM (Research in Motion), the makers of Blackberry have just released the hint that new Playbook will finally be unveiled. The company announced on Thursday that they are going to launch the next version for their Playbook.
The upcoming Playbook will be the first tablet from RIM supporting 4G Technology. And the 4G LTE Playbook that will be coming with 32 GB will only be unveiled in Canada on 9th of August. And the new Playbook won’t be rolling out in other territories like South Africa, United States, Europe, Caribbean and Latin America instantly. So, those who are in these region might have to wait for some months more.
The new Playbook will be sporting 7 inch display, HD video cameras both front and rear facing, HDMI out and stereo speakers. As per the company, in the absence of LTE, the device has been adjusted to automatically connect on HSPA+.
It has been over a year since the company released the their first tablet. And unfortunately, the tablet didn’t turn out to be a hit and couldn’t bring on fortune for the struggling giant mobile makers. But lots of expectations are being made for the upcoming tablet with the rumor mills that have been running over months.
This year, Ontario based mobile device giants – RIM shipped just around 250,000 Playbooks this year in first quarter which is half in numbers as per the numbers of the same period previous year. The company had disclosed the information in their recent quarterly earnings report.
The company is yet to release further information about the new Playbook including price and more specs and new features.
