A boy of less than 2 feets(60 cm) has recorded its name in the Guinness book of world record as the worlds shortest man. He was declared as Worlds shortest man on his 18th birthday. He is son of poor Filipino blacksmith. The title was bestowed on Junrey Balawing in Sindangan in the southern part of Philipines with his parents, villagers, and official showering the coastal Atown’s newly famous resident with a feast of roasted pigs and seafood, cake, balloons and cash gifts.
Balawing measures only 23.5 inches tall who was measured by official during the program where about 100 villagers and journalists had taken part. Guiness World Records representative Carig glenday approved him as the shortest man and gave him certificate which measures to his ear level.
He took over the record from Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal who was measure just 26.4 inches. Number of people and journalist came to the town which is located 730 kilometer away south of Manila. His father told Thank you to his son. Balawing tried continually before blowing off the candle and clapped heartily each time the crowd applauded. At last the boy said ‘Kapoy’ which means I am tired’.
He needs something to catch to stand up. He was caught in camera with empty Coke bottle which was taller than his waistline. His mother continually cried with teary ears and she said that she was happy with her son. Her mother wished to receive international fame, rewards and donations for the medical supplies to ensure his health. But nobody is still able to explain the reason behind the growth of Balawing which stopped growing after two months of his birth.
